An update on the 394 Bus, courtesy of your local Conservative MP -
On the 17th March we heard, officially, that the 394 bus would retain its midweek service.
Since being contacted by residents I wrote to Stockport Council, Derbyshire County Council, Transport for Greater Manchester and High Peak Buses.
If you would like to see copies of those letters please contact me on email@example.com or call 0161 427 0660.
Below is a copy of the letter I sent to all residents reporting the positive news.Thank you for contacting me on 3rd March 2016 expressing your concern regarding the 394 Bus. After almost a month of uncertainty and having been in extensive communications with Derbyshire County Council (DCC), Transport for Greater Manchester and High Peak Buses, I am pleased to announce the following statement:
The 394 Bus service is confirmed to continue for the foreseeable future. Please find enclosed a copy of the newly confirmed timetable which will be under effect from Tuesday 29th March, 2016. This timetable, and all subsequent updates, will be obtainable via DCC’s website, www.derbysbus.info.
The current Saturday service will remain the same until Saturday 30th April 2016 to allow for the least possible disruption to bus users. This will also ensure that residents will be aware of the removal of the Saturday timetable prior to its cancellation.
The enclosed timetable will operate until 29th September 2017 whereby a further review will take place.
If you have access to the internet, DCC would like to draw your attention to a survey available online at: www.derbyshire.gov.uk/transportchanges. DCC currently fund over 130 local bus services throughout the area and this questionnaire would help to support future continuation of these subsidies. Paper copies are also available from local Derbyshire libraries and upon request to: Ms Janet Pickersgill, Senior Transport Officer Local Bus Network, Derbyshire County Council Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3AG.
Thank you for taking the time to contact me on this matter.
